The 2027 Expedition introduces new options packages and exterior colors, and it shuffles some features’ availability throughout the lineup.
Most notably, the Expedition celebrates three decades on the road with its 30th Anniversary Package, a sleek appearance pack available for the luxurious Platinum trim model. A new Family Travel Package is available for Active Touring models, offering a great way to add high-end, road-trip-friendly items like exterior Zone Lighting and the Flex Powered Console to the entry-level Expedition model.
There are also three new exterior colors available: Bronze Fire Metallic Tri-coat, Nocturnal Blue Metallic, and Blue Ember Metallic. Oxford White becomes a fleet-only option on the fleet-only XL trim. Space Silver Metallic and Stone Blue Metallic are no longer available.
Plus, a laminated windshield is now standard. And the standard third-row bench now features vinyl upholstery and auto-retracting head restraints.
Some features (like the 90-day BlueCruise trial, now available on the Active Touring trim) are more widely available and some (like the Platinum Elite Package’s signature lighting, now only available with the Platinum Ultimate Package) less so.
Along with the top-tier King Ranch, Platinum models featuring the Elite and Stealth Appearance packs are now available with rear-wheel drive.
Boat enthusiasts will be pleased to note that the Active Touring (along with the rear-wheel-drive Platinum) now come standard with the Trailer Tow Prep Package. And the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow pack is newly optional on both four-wheel-drive Active Touring models and four-wheel drive Platinum models equipped with the Stealth Appearance Package. When equipped with the Stealth Performance Package or Platinum Ultimate Package, four-wheel-drive Platinum models now come standard with the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow pack!
The popular SecuriCode illuminated keyless entry pad also becomes more widely available, helping you get into the King Ranch and Platinum models featuring the 30th Anniversary, Stealth Performance, or Ultimate packages without a key! This high-tech convenience feature also becomes optional for the Active Touring and Platinum trims (including Platinum trims with the Stealth Appearance package).
Available for the luxurious Expedition Platinum, the 30th Anniversary Package gives this three-row SUV a sleek, celebratory vibe with features that include special badging, Ebony exterior trim, and 22-inch Ebony wheels. A new exterior color, Blue Ember Metallic, is available exclusively with the 30th Anniversary Package. This appearance pack even includes a few interior perks, like a handy cargo organizer and a flashier center console.
